In 2009, Kmart and the March of Dimes celebrated 26 years of a partnership that has yet to be rivaled. Kmart customer and associate contributions continue to reach heights never attained by any other corporation in our history. 2010 celebrates the beginning of our 27th year of partnership and celebrates Kmart’s 18th year as the exclusive national mass merchandise retail sponsor of March for Babies. This initiative is part of Kmart for Kids®, the umbrella program for Kmart’s philanthropic initiatives, which focuses on improving children’s health and wellness. The strength of this partnership, the desire to ensure the health of all babies and the sheer passion and compassion of Kmart customers and associates continues to inspire us all.

ACE Cash Express
ACE Cash Express is proud to take an active part in fundraisers and service efforts benefiting the communities where they operate stores, donating a portion of the company's net profit to charitable and community-based programs. ACE supports the March of Dimes by dedicating their "Give A Little" promotion conducted in stores throughout the months of March and April. Since 2003, ACE Cash Express has contributed more than $2.6 million to support our mission. ACE Cash Express also serves as a March of Dimes National Sponsor of Hispanic Outreach. Since 2008, the March of Dimes, in collaboration with ACE Cash Express, will once again launch the March of Dimes Visa Prepaid Card. Consumers can use this re-loadable debit card to pay for purchases, with a portion of the purchase amount donated by ACE to the March of Dimes to underwrite education programs that serve Hispanic women and their families.

As a longtime supporter of March for Babies, raising more than $26 million over the past 11 years, Bank of America's efforts in 2009 placed them as the No. 6 team out of 20,000 nationwide. More than 8,000 Bank of America employees, their family and friends, participate annually in March for Babies fielding the largest team nationwide. Creative fundraising activities, strong local volunteer relationships and executive leadership are among just a few of the elements that contribute to their campaign's continued success.

Bank of the West

Bank of the West has a long, proud history of community service and volunteerism. One of the most enduring partnerships is with the March of Dimes. Over the past 18 years, Bank of the West employees have banded together and demonstrated their leadership, creativity and commitment to the March of Dimes through March for Babies and have positively affected the communities within their enterprise footprint. Total fundraising support since 1992 is an astounding $6.7 million, which has provided much-needed funding to support the March of Dimes mission.

Bayer HealthCare
Bayer Healthcare supports March of Dimes efforts to educate women of childbearing age during preconception. Bayer HealthCare and the March of Dimes will present several initiatives in 2010 and work together to raise awareness about the importance of getting enough folate and folic acid to prevent certain birth defects of the brain and spine. Bayer HealthCare Worldwide’s aim is to discover and manufacture innovative products that will improve human and animal health.

Big 5 Sporting Goods
Big 5 continues to play a vital role in driving the competitiveness, fun and ultimately the fundraising in March for Babies for families everywhere. Since 2000, the company has participated in March for Babies by engaging their customers through an annual in-store fundraising promotion, contributing more than $2.5 million. Customers also can pick up a local March for Babies sponsor form in stores.

CIGNA
2010 marks CIGNA’s 16th year as a national March for Babies sponsor. Along with a strong commitment to help the people they serve achieve good health, well-being and security, CIGNA also fosters a company culture that encourages active volunteerism to support the communities in which they work and live. The company and its employees have contributed nearly $24 million dollars to help give all babies a healthy start. In addition to March for Babies sponsorship, CIGNA also is a national sponsor of the March of Dimes Prematurity Campaign and, since 2003, has helped the Foundation increase awareness about the serious problem of premature birth, as well as major breakthroughs in research and public policy. CIGNA’s dedicated employees serve on local March of Dimes boards, participate in special events and reinforce the March of Dimes mission through public awareness activities.

Citi
The proud tradition that has linked Citi with the March of Dimes through March for Babies demonstrates their responsibility to their franchise, which calls upon Citi employees to take an active role in the communities where they work and live. In all parts of the country, thousands of Citi employees take to the streets, the shores, the mountains and the parks on March for Babies weekend and celebrate the positive effect they have made on their communities and the nation. Since 2000, Citi employees have contributed more than $27 million and have truly saved the lives of thousand of babies.

Continental Airlines
Continuing in their 5th year as a national sponsor of March for Babies and the Foundation's distinguished National Ambassador Program, Continental Airlines’ commitment includes in-kind airline certificates, and advertising and promotion for the Foundation. Through in-flight and online media, communication to Rewards members and encouragement of March for Babies participation to an employee base 42,000 strong, Continental is helping the March of Dimes reach hundreds of thousands of families with important information about having full-term pregnancies and healthy babies. Since 2006, Continental's team has raised more than $1.3 million for the March for Babies campaign.

Destination Maternity Corporation
Destination Maternity Corporation, the largest maternity retailer in the United States, a national sponsor of the March of Dimes Prematurity Campaign and a retail partner for March for Babies, is committed to providing vital information to help pregnant women decrease the risk of premature birth. Throughout the year, Destination Maternity will support the March of Dimes in all of their 800 branded stores (Motherhood Maternity, A Pea in the Pod and Destination Maternity stores) by conducting an in-store donation promotion, and currently customers can purchase a co-branded bracelet (with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the March of Dimes), which delivers tips about healthy pregnancy. In addition, first-time purchasers in stores will a receive gift bag with a bilingual March of Dimes Pregnancy & Newborn Health Education Center® brochure, providing instructions on how to access information on pregnancy topics.

Discovery Health
Entering their 8th year as a national media partner for March for Babies, Discovery Health takes viewers inside the fascinating and informative world of health and medicine to experience firsthand, compelling, real-life stories of medical breakthroughs and human triumphs. The company supports the March of Dimes by generating awareness of the prevalence of premature birth nationwide and disseminating important, lifesaving health messages to families. March for Babies and Prematurity Campaign television public service advertisements run continuously throughout the year, particularly during popular prime-time programs such as "Birth Day," a regular program focusing on the miracle and challenges of birth.

Famous Footwear
Entering its 7th year of national sponsorship of March for Babies, Famous Footwear continues to be a pacesetter in the specialty retailer category. Their successful in-store, customer-donation fundraising campaigns in the spring and fall raise more than $1 million annually. Famous also collaborates with Dr. Scholl’s to offer consumers the “Official Shoe of March for Babies,” which is available exclusively at stores nationwide and online at famousfootwear.com. Since 1997, Famous Footwear customers and associates have contributed more than $9.28 million. They rank as one of the Top 10 March for Babies teams nationwide.

Farmers
Through sponsorships of March for Babies, Signature Chefs® events, Bikers for Babies® events, and their own Be a Hero for Babies Day, Farmers ended 2009 contributing almost $4.8 million. That means Farmers has raised nearly $30 million during its more than 22-year partnership with the March of Dimes. Farmers makes it easy for people to join March for Babies: Local agent offices are March for Babies registration sites. As the nation’s third-largest personal lines property and casualty insurance group, Farmers is committed to improving the communities where their customers, agents and employees live and work and to continue to help get babies back where they belong — healthy and strong.

FedEx
FedEx promotes a culture that values community service and good corporate citizenship. Since 1979, FedEx has supported the March of Dimes through participation in March for Babies. During this time, FedEx has raised millions of dollars for our common mission of "Deliveries, on Time." As a national sponsor of both March for Babies and our Prematurity Campaign, FedEx's generous financial support and in-kind donations have allowed us to reach an increasingly wide audience of prospective parents with our important health messages. FedEx employees continue to provide leadership on our national and chapter boards and event committees. In addition, each spring, tens of thousands of FedEx employees from all operating companies join their local FedEx March for Babies team and help raise funds to give babies a healthy start.

First Response
A brand of Church & Dwight Co., Inc., First Response is the market leader in home pregnancy testing. 2010 marks the company’s 5th year of a national partnership, which aims to reach women of childbearing age and promote the importance of early pregnancy detection and prenatal care. Joint messaging, which is woven into extensive tagged advertising, co-branding on packaging, literature/product displays and in-store promotion, focuses on informing women that the sooner they know they are pregnant, the sooner they can start taking steps to have a healthy, full-term pregnancy. First Response is a national March for Babies sponsor.

Grain Foods Foundation
The Grain Foods Foundation and its members are committed to raising awareness of the important role that B vitamins, and folic acid in particular, play in helping prevent certain serious birth defects of the brain and spine. Some members feature the “Folic Acid for a Healthy Pregnancy” seal on select products at retail to help women quickly and easily identify grain products, such as white bread, that are enriched with folic acid. The Grain Foods Foundation, a joint venture of members of the milling and baking industries formed in 2004, is dedicated to advancing the public's understanding of the beneficial role grain-based foods play in the human diet.

Hess Corporation
A leading global independent energy company, Hess is committed to meeting the highest standards of corporate citizenship and creating a long-lasting, positive impact on the communities in which they do business. Hess is celebrating a huge milestone in 2010. Their retail locations along the East Coast of the United States have participated in fundraising promotions for 10 consecutive years and raised $1 million.

Johnson & Johnson (Johnson’s ® Baby)
Johnson’s ® Baby brand conducts a retail campaign with a donation of $0.10 made for every Johnson’s ® Baby item purchased June through July in stores nationwide , resulting in a $100,000 donation to the March of Dimes. Components of the campaign include an insert into national newspapers, store displays and an appearance by a March of Dimes spokesperson on Telemundo. Simultaneously, Johnson’s ® Baby runs a baby video contest on YouTube with a donation made to March of Dimes for every approved video and every video vote.

Procter & Gamble's Pampers brand, the leading diaper brand in the world, has supported the March of Dimes through the online “Gifts to Grow” program. Pampers Childbirth Education curriculum includes information from the March of Dimes on having a healthy, full-term pregnancy. Childbirth educators throughout the United States use the Pampers curriculum in their childbirth classes, reaching women in approximately their 6th month of pregnancy.

Publix Super Markets, Inc.
This regional supermarket chain has raised more than $28 million since 1998. In 2009, through the sale of paper sneaker cut-outs, the company raised more than $2.5 million for the March of Dimes. Publix also engages  employees in the March of Dimes mission by encouraging team participation in March for Babies annually, ranking the grocery as the No. 4 March for Babies team in 2009 among 20,000 participating companies nationwide.

Sanofi Pasteur
Sanofi Pasteur, the vaccines division of sanofi-aventis, is continuing its popular educational campaign called “Sounds of Pertussis” to raise awareness of pertussis, also known as whooping cough. The campaign in 2010 will include localized educational and advocacy efforts. United Auto Workers
Since 2005, United Auto Workers (UAW), one of the largest and most diverse unions in North America, has partnered with the Big Three Automakers — Ford Motor Company, Chrysler, and GM — in a coordinated fundraising effort to support March for Babies. Endorsed by Ron Gettelfinger, UAW President, and top management from the automakers, this partnership has resulted in more than $3 million raised for America's babies. Union liaisons, along with representatives from management, hold key positions on March of Dimes committees and boards across the country. In addition, campaign leaders seek ways to expand their team by engaging auto dealerships and industry vendors.

Wells Fargo & Wachovia
Wells Fargo and Wachovia are twice as strong in their support of the March of Dimes. Together, more than 2,500 Wachovia employees participate in March for Babies in every state in which they do business. Over the past 9 years, Wachovia employees have raised more than $17 million for the March of Dimes, consistently earning them a place among our Top 10 teams. This kind of dedication and hard work is at the core of the commitment to the communities they serve.

WellPoint Foundation
Pregnant women in eight states (California, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Missouri, Nevada, New York and Virginia) will receive prenatal services and education from the March of Dimes, thanks to a generous grant from the WellPoint FoundationInc . The funding will support three critical March of Dimes programs: CenteringPregnancy®, a Preterm Labor Assessment Toolkit and a Patient Safety Collaboration in California. The WellPoint Foundationis a private, nonprofit organization wholly funded by WellPoint, Inc. The Foundation focuses its funding on strategic initiatives that address and provide innovative solutions to health care challenges, as well as promoting the Healthy Generations Program, a multi-generational initiative that targets specific disease states and medical conditions.
